The Secret of the Compass

Most people give very little thought to the compass. Modern day conveniences have almost replaced it entirely. Yet the compass holds all the answers to the ancient tradition of feng shui.  So few are aware that within the compass lies the key to a better life.
For most,  the 360 degrees are divided into the cardinal directions. All of which, seem rather meaningless. For the trained eye those 360 degrees are further divided down into much smaller, very meaning increments.  Increments that determine if a dwelling is desirable or best avoided. The trained eye can advise if the house will bring success or bring hinderance.
Thousands of years ago feng shui masters were hired for such insight. They would search for an appropriate parcel of land and advise on the direction the dwelling should face. The direction being very precise. Feng shui is very simplistic but it requires a well trained eye.

The Best Place to Take Root

In order for a seed to grow it needs a few key ingredients. Sun, water and soil all create an environment that allows that seed to thrive and grow. Clearly, if there is no sunlight, poor soil and a lack of water then the seed will lie dormant.
We are no different to that seed.
What kind of environment is your home providing for you? Is it providing you with everything you need to thrive and grow?
These days there is a lot of ego involved in home selection and even room selection. We like the big house with the big master bedroom and the ensuite. But bigger most often does not mean better. Sometimes you have to give up esthetics  for what is truly more conducive to growth. The fact of the matter is, some homes are better than others and some rooms are better than others. Most people are not planting themselves in the best location.  If the energy in the home or room is not good, nothing will grow. Nothing. No water fountain, frog with coin or wealth ship will help.
Simply stated, feng shui will only work for you when you tap into the BEST energy that your home has to offer. Only them will you see true growth.

What's In Your Tool Belt?

Life is a challenge for each one of us. When times get tough we have to look in our tool belt for an appropriate tool to get us through the obstacles ahead.

What kind of tools?

For me, I am armed with a healthy diet and running, which is chock-full of endorphins. I have good Feng Shui meaning good energy is circulating throughout my home. I smudge myself and use essential oils to elevate my own personal energy. I use different crystals depending on my needs.  I drink natural spring water and live in a community filled with tress. Everyday I spend time in nature.
My belt has me well armed when life throws an obstacle in front of me.
Ask yourself what tools you need to help you on your journey.

Welcome back!

Welcome back post summer everyone!
I hope that you had an amazing few months! I committed myself to lots of running over the past few months.  I managed to go from running 5k in May to 10k over the summer.
Here is a shining example of what good energy does! When your house has good energy that good energy will manifest in your life. For me, that transpired through running. As a result my personal energy is better and my health is better. I can thank the energy of my house and specifically my bedroom.
Feng Shui has a huge impact!

Broom Brings Gloom?

I found a gem of a feng shui tip! A broom should not be placed in the room of a dying person because it will sweep away their life.
Relevance to feng shui = 0%
Superstition = 100%
I believe that each of us has an arrival date and a departure date. A broom won't influence this!

Train Up

Recently I encountered the term "train up". It was used in an article pertaining to running and was referencing the idea of training with people more advanced than you. On "train up" days  you are pushed further and faster by the advanced company you are running with.
So I started thinking about "train up" days for the mind and spirit. It is equally important to have a "train up" team in these two areas. Friends, family, coworkers etc that push you to greatness mentally. People that support you, celebrate you and challenge you beyond your current level of comfort.
It is important to have a strong "train up" team in all facets of life. That's how we improve.
Invest in a strong team and never forget that you are part of someone else's "train up" team.

The Power of Good Chi

Feng Shui is not for everybody. There are many skeptics and outright non believers that don't want to give energy the time of day. Maybe those people credit themselves and their hard work for their success. Or maybe they tried feng shui and had no results. Whatever the case, I can totally understand that it is not everyone's cup of tea.

Thankfully it is for some!
Feng shui makes the good times great and betters the bad times. It is the ONLY way to better the luck that we were born with.
At the age of 35 my Four Pillars took a nose dive. I entered a very unlucky phase of my life. A phase that would last 10 years. Every aspect of my life looked to be headed straight down the potty.

I am very happy to tell you that 6 years into this luck phase I am far from the potty. In fact, I am doing better and feeling better than I ever have!
Work is awesome! I have the greatest clients ever. I have the greatest teacher ever. I have the greatest friends.  My family is thriving. As am I. I am proud to say I have gone from couch to completing a 5k race. Better yet, I am now training for a 10k. I am healthier and I am so much happier.
All of this, during what should have been a horrible time in my life.
I speak from first hand experience, good feng shui can do amazing things!
